Chuck Kalman, Jr. was groomed and mentored in the construction industry by his father, Chuck Sr., from an early age. He has more than 15 years experience and is a licensed building contractor. Chuck began his construction career learning the trades and specialized in customer care and construction supervision for several large builders in Southern California.
Even while still in high school, Chuck worked for his father at Kalman Construction in Phoenix, AZ. When the family relocated back to Southern California in 1999, he was hired by Pulte Homes to learn the industry from the ground up. He was quickly promoted within the company and became a customer care representative in the new home warranty department. During the early 2000’s, Chuck worked for several other Southern California builders, including Van Daele Homes, Hammond and Masing General Contractors and Pacific Communities.
In 2004, he was hired by Standard Pacific as a customer care representative in the warranty department. A little over a year later he transferred to the construction department as an assistant superintendent. There he was responsible for multiple phases of construction and delivering quality products to each buyer. In 2007, Chuck was offered a superintendent position where he immediately took on the challenge of starting a community from scratch. There he managed the completion of a model complex and multiple phases of home deliveries.
With his wide experience in construction and customer care, Chuck brings his expertise to Kalman Development Group to head the HomeLife Concepts division.
